About Radey Law Firm

Radey Law Firm is a Florida capital law firm that represents regulated industries before state agencies and Florida courts.

  • 2003 Practicing from the Florida capital since
  • 12 Attorneys
  • 18 Agencies and tribunals the firm appears before
  • 20+ Volumes of Florida Insurance Reports published

The firm practices from Tallahassee, inside the regulatory perimeter where Florida's agencies write rules, hold hearings, and issue final orders.

Radey Law Firm lawyers appear for insurers, utilities, health care providers, telecommunications carriers, and other regulated businesses across licensing, rate and form review, rulemaking, enforcement defense, and administrative litigation. That work runs the full administrative process, from the first agency filing through Chapter 120 proceedings at the Division of Administrative Hearings and on to the First District Court of Appeal and the Florida Supreme Court.

Firm History

Radey Law Firm opened in Tallahassee in 2003. Its founding shareholders include Travis L. Miller, who was elected president of the firm in 2009, along with Bert L. Combs and Karen Asher-Cohen. The firm has practiced from the capital every year since and marked its twentieth year in 2023.

The firm has also practiced as Radey Thomas Yon & Clark, P.A. That name still appears on older filings, court records, and directory listings, and it refers to this firm. Radey Law is the name the firm goes by today.

Tallahassee was a practice decision. The agencies that regulate the firm's clients sit here, the Division of Administrative Hearings sits here, and the First District Court of Appeal and the Florida Supreme Court hear the appeals that follow. Radey Law Firm files, argues, and appeals within a few blocks of where its clients' matters are decided.

Founders still on the roster: Travis Miller, Bert Combs, Karen Asher-Cohen

Agency Experience

Radey Law Firm staffs regulatory matters with lawyers who worked inside the agencies they now appear before. Several joined the firm from senior agency posts, including a former General Counsel, Commissioner, and Chairman of the Florida Public Service Commission and a former General Counsel of two state departments, and they read an agency record the way the agency reads it.

The firm's lawyers have substantial experience before almost every Florida state agency and many federal agencies. That experience shapes how the firm scopes a filing, prepares a witness, and decides when a matter belongs at hearing.
